Sotheby's International Realty® Officially Launches in Taiwan

On March 22, Sotheby's International Realty®, the world-renowned luxury real estate brand backed by Sotheby's, made its official debut in Taiwan. This landmark moment connects Taiwan's property market to a global network of elite real estate offerings.

Since forming a global strategic alliance with Realogy Corporation in 2004, Sotheby's International Realty® has expanded to over 600 offices across 45 countries. To celebrate its Taiwan debut, the brand unveiled an exclusive showcase of the “Top 10 Most Unique Luxury Properties Worldwide”, highlighting rare and iconic estates from cities such as Paris, New York, Hong Kong, and more.

Mr. David Tran, founder of Taiwan Sotheby's International Realty Advisors and a veteran in the investment trust industry, remarked, “Asia's real estate market is evolving rapidly. Once cross-strait investment agreements are signed, Taipei's property market will soar like a reawakened eagle. Office rents in Taipei 101 may soon rival those in Hong Kong's Central District.”

Chairman Thomas Lu, with over 20 years of experience in securities and investment trusts, added, “Taiwan's strategic location near the vast Chinese market, combined with the rise of an aging society, positions real estate as the primary investment choice for affluent middle-aged investors.”

Sotheby's International Realty Taiwan now boasts a team of 30 professional consultants, offering comprehensive cross-border services that transcend language and geography. Whether clients are in Taipei or abroad, they can access a curated selection of the world's finest properties—from historic castles to oceanfront villas. The exclusive showcase includes extraordinary listings such as a 150-year-old Turkish mansion, a New Zealand coastal estate, a 10,600-ping Italian castle, a panoramic villa in Koh Samui, and a Central Park-view duplex in New York. Taiwan's own the Residences at Mandarin Oriental, managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, was also featured as Asia's first hotel-managed residential tower, impressing guests and local investors alike. The grand opening event was graced by Taiwan's most renowned female investors, Ms. Ho Li-Ling and Ms. Chang Chiung-Ling, who joined the celebration to witness the elegance and prestige of Sotheby's International Realty in Taiwan.
